We really wish Facebook had a “dislike” button for this. A woman in Troup, Texas, recently posted a heartless request on Facebook for someone to come shoot her dog, KHOU reports.

The message, posted on Facebook on Sept. 18, 2015, read: “I need someone to come shoot my dog. Nobody here has the heart to do it. We will provide the gun!”

What followed was a flurry of outrage and concern for the dog’s safety. The woman surrendered the dog, a 3-year-old Saint Bernard-English Bulldog mix named Cinnamon, to animal control not long after and, as a result, no charges have been filed against her.

KHOU reports that the woman, whose identity has been withheld since she hasn’t been charged, told animal control that she wanted Cinnamon killed because she could no longer care for her and because the dog kept getting in the garbage.

Animal shelter coordinator Nanette Moss told KHOU, Cinnamon is “a sweet dog, and how can somebody shoot a sweet dog?”

Good question, Nanette. Luckily, Cinnamon is now in good hands with a foster family until she gets adopted by a family who would never put her in such a terrible or dangerous situation.
