The American Pet Savers Association, an organization dedicated to stopping cruelty to dogs, says it will dole out over $10,000 in cash and prizes, including a $1,000 cash grand prize, this year as part of its annual Cutest Dog Photo Contest.
“Dog lovers are constantly snapping photographs of their furry friends,” said contest chair Rosa Bonbeur. “Our contest gives people a chance to receive cash, prizes and worldwide exposure for their favorite, cutest dog photos. Your dog’s bloodline or pedigree doesn’t matter,” said contest chair Rosa Bonbeur.
Winning photos could be published in an internationally distributed pet photo book or in the club magazine.
To enter, send one full color or black and white photograph of any size along with two loose postage stamps. All photo entries must include the photographer’s name and address on the back.
Pictures should be mailed to: Photographs: Free Photo Contest, P.O. Box 1908 – Dept. PRW, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Entries must be postmarked by Feb. 15, 2007. Digital photos may also be submitted online at www.CutestPetContest.com
Only one entry per household is accepted; however, the photo may contain more than one pet and more than one pet type.
Membership in the American Pet Savers Association is not necessary to participate in the contest, and the entry is free. The organization says it sponsors the photo contest each year as a way of drawing attention and to provide a forum for people to show off their dogs.
