If you’ve never had a dog or you haven’t had one in many, many years, what you expect your life to be like once you get one is often very different from what it actually turns out to be like.
You imagine you and your dog sleeping in on the weekends, but when he’s actually home with you you soon realize that your cute little doggy has no concept of weekends. If he’s used to getting up in the middle of the night for a bathroom break, that’s not going stop on Fridays and Saturdays.
You’ve been told that having a dog will help you get a date. However, having a dog opens you up to meeting all kinds of people… some of which you may not want to meet.
You may not realize that there will be grosser stuff than picking up your dog’s poop.
Hanging out with friends could get a little difficult…
…but your dog will be your best friend, just like you thought he would.
Thanks to Willie Muse and Andy Kluthe for this comical depiction of the expectations versus realities of living with a dog.
