Wardley Fish food with lot number PP06331 may be contaminated with Salmonella.

One lot of the 1.2 oz size of Wardley Betta Fish Food is being voluntarily recalled by the Hartz Mountain Corp. due to concerns that containers of the fish food may be contaminated with Salmonella disease. The Wardley Betta Fish Food that is being recalled was shipped in the United States from May 13 to June 4, 2013. The company shipped 8,112 1.2-oz. plastic containers of Wardley Betta Fish Food with a UPC number of 0-43324-01648. The lot code on the bottom of the container is PP06331.

This food came from a single production run at the company’s Pleasant Plain, Ohio facility. If you have purchased this product, check the lot code on your container. If the lot code is a match, discontinue use of the product immediately and throw it in the trash. If you cannot read the lot code on the container, discard it as well.
