Hank, a stray dog who wandered on to the Milwaukee Brewers’ field earlier this month, has become the most popular rookie on the team.
After trying to locate his family without success, the team adopted him and has treated him as part of the team, even giving him his own number and jersey. Named after baseball great Hank Aaron, whose career got its start in Milwaukee, he is already know for his skills catching grounders. See photos and read more about Hanks story here>>
On Wednesday Hank solidified his place on the team and made his debut at the Milwaukee Brewers’ Sausage Race, a team tradition. Based on the results of the race, Hanks may need a little more time in spring training before his next competition, but he looked adorable in his hot dog costume.
