A woman and a turtle are both lucky to be alive after the turtle came crashing through the woman’s windshield while she was driving about 80 miles per hour.

Nicole Marie Bjanes was driving down the Interstate 4 highway in Orlando, Florida, when a car to the left of her hit the turtle, she said on her Facebook page. The poor reptile got hurled into the air and went through Bjanes’ windshield, taking out the rear view mirror and landing on the car’s dash.

She posted this update on her Facebook page:

“I really can’t even believe it!!! Thanks for all your concern????????. I am a lucky girl. All the people who stopped and the EMT and trooper were taking pics….unbelievable, and the guy at the hospital was laughing at how he should word the incident!!! Life is good and sometimes a little crazy….someone is keeping my on my toes and entertained.”

Bjanes was treated at the scene for minor cuts from the flying glass, the Florida Highway Patrol said, and the turtle? It was checked out to be OK by wildlife officers and released, according to ClickOrlando.com. Hopefully on the other side of the road.
