Travel Tuesday: Jack Rabbits in Vacaville

Check out the colorfully designed jack rabbits in Vacaville, California.

Your rabbit loves art. Every day he’s working on a painting (he alternates between acrylic, watercolor and oil), molding a carrot sculpture out of clay or creating a pencil drawing of his favorite author, Beatrix Potter. He knows how much you love rabbits and art (because of how much you spoil him and praise his artwork). Now you can get the best of both worlds by visiting the Vacaville Museum in Vacaville, California and seeing 25 fiberglass jack rabbits that have been turned into glorious works of art.

The rabbits, created by the We Know Jack artists, are currently in various sponsored locations throughout Vacaville. On May 30, 2015, they’ll be on display in the museum’s courtyard, where you can vote on your favorite (I’d vote for the Monet one). From June 2 through June 18, 2015, the jack rabbits will be displayed inside the Vacaville Museum, so you have some time to go check them out! But hurry – the jack rabbits will be sold in a “Hit the Road Jack” auction at the CC Yin Ranch on June 20, 2015. Tickets for the auction cost $65.
