Police Probe Apparent Dog Poisonings
Authorities in Huron County, Mich., are investigating the apparent poisoning deaths of seven German Shepherds at a home in Colfax Township. Huron County Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson says it appears someone entered an unlocked kennel on Friday and put antifreeze in the dogs’ water, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Couple Seeks Return of 260 Dogs From Sheriff Seizure
A judge continued to evaluate Monday whether a Polk City, Fla., couple should have about 260 dogs returned to them. In late May, deputies seized the dogs from Charles and Diane O’Malley, who own a nonprofit dog rescue organization, and accused them of keeping the dogs in deplorable conditions.
