Brad Davis and his dog Jake were reunited Wednesday afternoon in Estill County, Ky. – and perhaps no one will ever know how Jake came to be 450 miles away after disappearing nearly seven years ago. Thanks to the dog’s microchip, he was reunited with his owner, who’d last seen his six-month-old pup the day after Thanksgiving in 2003, reports.

Georgia Dog Park Wins $500K Makeover
Johns Creek, Ga., residents and their pets are drooling over a $500,000 renovation planned for the city’s dog park. The prized puppy playground at Newtown Park comes courtesy of resident Pat McNeely, who submitted the winning entry in a Beneful Dog Food contest in May. The contest asked entrants to submit plans and a video answering the question: If you had $500,000 to create the ultimate dream dog park for you and best buddy, what would you do? The Atlanta Journal-Consitution reports.
