In 2001, a 9-year-old girl was abducted from her Florida home in the middle of the night. By sunrise, 2-year-old Bloodhound Elvis was on the case, tracking her scent with partner Jon Burcham, a deputy sheriff in the Polk County sheriff’s office. At the end of his 15-foot lead, Elvis trailed her through fields and across roadways for four miles before ending at a house that ultimately yielded the information needed to capture the kidnapper and rescue the child.
