Pooch Inc., a luxury dog product retailer, will hold a get-together for dogs and their owners at San Francisco’s Kiehl’s store from 3 to 6 p.m. in Pacific Heights this Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007.
The Sunday Social will include champagne, small bites, a free Kiehl’s lip balm for humans, and small dog biscuits from Pooch for the dogs who attend.
Founded more than 150 years ago in New York City, Kiehl’s, a high-end skin care line for people, now sells a dog shampoo, conditioner, and a deodorizing spray. It also hosts monthly dog adoption events at its Chicago, Miami, and Santa Monica, Calif., stores.
Pooch Inc. of San Francisco plans to introduce its first magalog of luxury pet products this fall, along with an online retail store at PoochOnline.com.
Marjorie Scholtz, founder of the less than two-year-old company, says she is planning additional “Best of Breed” social events for people and their dogs throughout the Bay Area.
