Sugar Glider Nest-Building Behavior

Provide materials for sugar gliders to build a nest.

In the wild, sugar gliders sleep in hollow trees and line them with leaves. These nests give them safety, security and a place to sleep. Breeding females also use the nest for babies old enough to be out of their pouch.

Provide your sugar glider with the materials it needs to build a nest. This includes a nest box or sleeping pouch, and nesting materials such as clean leaves free of parasites or recycled paper bedding.
