“Strut Your Mutt” Fundraising Event

"Strut Your Mutt” and raise money to help homeless pets in Los Angeles at the fun day for the dogs.

woman walking dogGet ready, get set, get your pooch warmed up, it’s time for Best Friends Animal Society’s 3nd Annual Strut Your Mutt in Los Angeles.

Join the Best Friends Animal Society for a leisurely one-mile group dog walk followed by the ultimate doggie festival that includes doggie yoga and massage, photo opportunities, free consultations with trainers and pet specialists, complimentary treats for participants’ dogs, fun activities and contests, refreshments and more.

This event is a must for any animal lover in the Los Angeles area who want to raise money for homeless pets, and have a great time with their dogs.


Saturday, September 22, 2012
Registration begins at 8:30am; walk begins at 10am. Festival ends at 1pm.

Tickets can be purchased online at the Strut Your Mutt website or at the event: Individuals: $30 ($35 day-of); Couples: $50 ($60 day-of)
Kids 12 and under with t-shirt: $20 ($25 day-of); Kids 12 and under without t-shirt: Free

If you can’t make it out to the event, you can be a Virtual Participant. Virtual Participants, like Individual Walkers, can raise money for Best Friends or for a participating Network Partner–but will need to join a Network Partner’s Dog Pack in order to raise money for that group. Cost to be a Virtual Participant is $10 (does not include a t-shirt but our 2012 Strut shirts will be available for purchase).

To raise money for participating local animal shelters, rescue groups and Best Friends Animal Society to help bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets. The donations raised through Strut Your Mutt will be used to fund lifesaving adoption programs and spay/neuter services in the Los Angeles area, to ultimately reduce the number of pets being killed in shelters.


Best Friends Animal Society is a national nonprofit organization working to build no-kill programs and partnerships across the country. Their work is made possible by the personal and financial support of a grassroots network of supporters and community partners across the nation.
