In a galaxy not so far away, there lived a cat who happened to be the spitting image of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star Adam Driver.
The universe became aware of this mysterious creature (the cat, not the actor, who plays Kylo Ren in the blockbuster movie) after Twitter user Marci Robin tweeted a photo of the cat from the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown, New Jersey.

The perma-frowning, big-eared feline doppelgänger was up for adoption, and after the photo took over the Internet, lots of people immediately wanted to take this adorable cat home. An Oriental Shorthair, the 2 1/2 year-old cat (then named “Corey”) loves all people and children, according to the MCSPCA’s Facebook page. But the force was strong within Elite Daily editor Emily McCombs, and she ended up as Corey’s new owner.
Here’s Kylo when we picked him up from the shelter. Rumors of his celebrity resemblance did not disappoint. A photo posted by Kylo Ren (@catam_driver) on
McCombs announced today on Elite Daily that she is, in fact, the cat’s proud new mama and that she has named him (ever-so befittingly) Kylo Ren.
Chilling with Mouse Yoda and Mouse Chewbacca. No animosity detected. A photo posted by Kylo Ren (@catam_driver) on
And OF COURSE, because McCombs is wise and wonderful, she has already created an Instagram account for Kylo, @catam_driver.
