Snowboarding Bulldogs Hit the Slopes

Five Bulldogs will snowboard down a float in the Rose Parade New Year’s Day.

Tillman, a Bulldog proclaimed as the “World’s Fastest Skateboarding Dog” by Guinness World Records, will show off his other skill, snowboarding, on Natural Balance Pet Foods’ 114-foot float during the upcoming Tournament of Roses Parade. The event will take place in Pasadena, Calif., on New Year’s Day.

The float, which is being certified by Guinness as the world’s longest single chassis float, features a giant ramp for Tillman and his Bulldog sidekicks to snowboard on. The other four snowboarding Bulldogs include Rose, Lyle, Niko and Tank. Niko and Tank were chosen from more than 60 Bulldogs who auditioned in a recent contest to snowboard down the Natural Balance float.

This will be Natural Balance’s second year to feature a float in the annual parade. Last year, Tillman and Rose, among other four-legged friends, featured their skateboarding skills.

“We had a great time last year with the Bulldogs skateboarding, and this snowboarding float is really incredible,” Joey Herrick, president of Natural Balance, said in a statement. “I’m jealous because those dogs can snowboard better than me.”
