Shelter Dog Finds Fame – And a New Home

Dog is adopted after filming a scene for a new Michael Douglas movie.

Crews with the production “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” starring Michael Douglas and Amber Tamblyn spent Tuesday filming scenes at the Caddo Animal Shelter in Shreveport, La.

When cameras wrapped at the end of the day, one – and possibly two – dogs had found a new home.

“It started this morning with a producer,” says Susan Jackson, who works at the shelter, in an interview with KSLA in Shreveport. “[We] had that one special dog that looked right back at him, [and] the producer ended up adopting the dog and we actually used the dog on film, so it’ll appear in the film.”

Tamblyn also fell in love with a dog, who she is considering adopting, Jackson adds.

“Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” is a remake of a 1956 film about a writer’s plan to expose a corrupt district attorney. The film also stars Jesse Metcalfe, of “Desperate Housewives” fame.
