What happens when a guide dog in training gets to meet his favorite cartoon character in real life?
No, that’s not the beginning of a joke. It’s actually a question that was wonderfully answered when Ace, a guide dog trainee, attended a Disney park and got to meet Pluto.
In the video uploaded to Facebook by Disney Dorks, Ace is SO EXCITED when he comes face-to-face with Pluto that he can barely follow the expected behavior of a guide dog in training. He wiggles, he wags, and you can tell he desperately wants to snuggle up with Pluto in a pile of paws.
“That is my boy, and I am proud of him and love the Disney characters for being so kind and helpful!” Ace’s trainer, Sandy Steinblums, said in one of the comments. “It will be 6-9 months of extensive training with licensed trainers before Ace has the opportunity to graduate as a guide dog and has the right match in a human partner.”
Good boy, Ace! And Pluto.
