Tragedy led to Scooby’s life at a shelter, but an act of warmth helped him find a new path, even in his golden years.
The Cocker Spaniel mix had come to the OC Animal Care shelter after his owner died and a recent makeover shaped him up for a new role in life, according to a video posted by the shelter to YouTube. As a senior dog, he had a lower chance at adoption, as such dogs are overlooked.
The pet stylists donated their time to 56 dogs in total that day. Each has since found a home.
Including Scooby, who now helps fellow prison inmates through a program. A little makeover went a long way in helping this senior dog lead a new role in life.
