Bethenny Frankel has enjoyed her 15 minutes of fame on the surprise Bravo hit “The Real Housewives of New York City.” But Frankel’s dog, Cookie, also has become an unlikely star.
“People are mesmerized by her,” Frankel told Harper’s Bazaar.
Indeed, a video of Cookie eating a carrot – Frankel is a natural foods chef, after all – has become a YouTube hit.
“Cookie has handled her new fame very well,” says Frankel, a reality-show veteran who came in second on “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.” (Frankel also owns Bethenny Bakes, a company that produces wheat-, egg-, and dairy-free desserts.) “She really likes her family first, although she really perks up for the camera and looks straight into it.”
The attention-loving Lhasa Apso mix even has her own MySpace page. In the About Me section, Cookie reveals that she “loves attention” and can roll down a car window all by herself. And her fave TV show? “The Real Housewives of New York,” of course. “Don’t be fooled,” Cookie “writes.” “I’m the real star.”
