The hunchback of the World’s Ugliest Dog contest goes to Hollywood!

Quasi Modo, the winner of this year’s World’s Ugliest Dog competition, visited “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night and was treated to a full day of pampering and beautification.

Queer Eye’s Carson Kressley was in charge of Quasi’s makeover, which included a spa day, a mani pedi, a montage of wigs being tried on, and then a variety of outfit options. In the end, Quasi, whose hunchback appearance is due to a birth defect that shortened her spine, was adorned with a blond wig, a pearl necklace, faux fur leg poufs to accentuate her long stems, and a hot pink dress that looked more like a bathing suit.

The whole thing was equal parts adorable and hilarious, and while Kimmel’s efforts to make the 10-year-old Pit Bull-Dutch Shepherd mix feel pretty were sweet, the whole point of the World’s Ugliest Dog contest is to celebrate the unique features of its contestants. Winning the title isn’t degrading, it’s actually an honor.

And Quasi Modo deserved the win.
