Puppy Potty Schedules: Owner Works Part Time

Whether you work all day, all night, part time, or from home, there's a proposed schedule to satisfy you and your new puppy.

Puppy Adjustments will need to be made in order to satisfy the dog’s needs as well as your work schedule. If your work requires you to be away from home for extended periods of time, such as more than four hours, you’ll need some assistance for a while. Puppy daycare could be the answer, a neighbor or family member may be able to fill in when you’re away, a dog walker could stroll into your life for a while, or perhaps you could work for shorter periods of time several days a week.

Evaluate your schedule and balance that with the puppy’s needs and you’ll arrive at a workable solution to the process of house-training. Keep in mind that the puppy’s needs will change almost weekly as his little body matures. As he grows and matures, he’s also learning to adapt to you and your lifestyle so that one day the two of you will have a routine that runs like clockwork!
