Pope Francis arrived in the United States this week and wasted no time meeting with two of Washington, D.C.’s most famous figures. No we’re not talking about President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama (although he meet with them, too). We’re talking about the Obamas’ dogs, Bo and Sunny.
The pope met with the Portuguese Water Dogs during a visit to the White House Wednesday. Official White House photographer Pete Souza was on hand to snap a photo of the pope petting the pooches in the Oval Office.
