Jessica T. began making organic dog treats from scratch in her kitchen, selling the hand-decorated biscuits on weekends at outdoor events near her New Jersey home.
Business quickly boomed, and less than a year after starting Bubba Rose Biscuit Company, Jessica quit her full-time job as a graphic designer for the entertainment industry to focus solely on the bakery.
“At the end of the day it’s something we truly enjoy doing,” says Jessica, who started the company with her husband, Eric, an electrician, in 2006. “I couldn’t go back to working in an office or working for somebody else.”
