Pet Sitters Association Backs Disaster Bill Amendment

Support for pet and animal emergency services builds with the new amendment.

The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters is standing behind an amendment that would ensure that state and local governments include the needs of people with pets and service animals in their emergency planning efforts.

The 1,600-member association in Mt. Laurel, N.J. has sent copies of the amendment to H.R. 3858 the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to its members. The NAPPS is asking members to show their support by sharing information about the amendment with their customers, and to send letters of support to their House representatives. The bill is still pending in Congress.
