Ontario Parrot Club Hosts 7th Annual Spring Fling

Spring Fling `08 educates and promotes responsible bird ownership

The Parrot Club of Southwestern Ontario hosts the 7th annual Spring Fling `08, an event focusing on educating and promoting responsible bird ownership, on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Conestoga College Residence & Conference Centre in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The doors open at 9:30 a.m.

Educational discussions from bird experts include bird health and best husbandry practices, developing a bond with your bird through trick training, and bird diet and nutrition, as well as a Q & A panel discussion to answer audience questions regarding bird ownership and care. Others events scheduled include the “Parade of Parrots,” raffles and booths with bird-related product vendors.

“Everyone has questions (on bird ownership), this is the place to ask and have them answered,” said Robert Ross, president of the Cambridge Chapter of the Parrot Club of Southwestern Ontario.

Parrot Club of Southwestern OntarioEvent coordinators ask that you leave your pets at home. Proceeds from the event go to fund the Parrot Club of Southwestern Ontario’s ongoing projects and educational programs.
