Nutrition Contest for Cats, Dogs Underway

The 2006 National PetFit Challenge will award trips to the United States fittest felines and canines.

Cat ContestHills Pet Nutrition Inc. is conducting a contest to find Americas fittest cat and dog.

Hills will select its grand prize-winning dog and cat in October — a prize that includes two round-trip airline tickets and a three-night stay at a pet-friendly hotel.

As part of the contest, 12 regional winners — six cats and six dogs — will be chosen and receive a years supply of Hills Prescription Diet or Science Diet pet food, $500 worth of pet supplies and an all-expensepaid trip to New York City for the Hills 2006 National PetFit Challenge final awards ceremony in October.

The top dog and cat will be chosen in New York from the 12 regional winners.

Those two national winners  will also receive the two roundtrip airline tickets and three-night accommodation at a pet-friendly hotel, plus will be awarded the title of Hills 2006 National PetFit Challenge champions.

Registration for the contest began in late April and the deadline is Sept. 1. For information, including requirements and how to enter, visit the website.
