“I think Bigfoot is blurry, that’s the problem,” the late comedian Mitch Hedberg joked. “It’s not the photographer’s fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that’s extra scary to me.”
Eric Walters says that he saw a Sasquatch (or the Sasquatch) in the mountains of North Carolina and, true to form, his own video of the supposed monster is pretty blurry, too. But Walters also says his Yorkshire Terrier, Zippy, chased the beast away, WBTV reports.
Walters, who was vacationing near Asheville, was out for a morning walk when he thought he saw a bear in a clearing near the road. He started to film the animal with his cell phone before realizing that he was just a few yards away from something way more unnatural.
“I quickly realized it was not a bear, but a Sasquatch,” Walters told WBTV. “Zippy could tell I was scared and got so riled up that he got loose and went after it.”
On the one hand, hooray for brave little Zippy! On the other, if Bigfoot is afraid of a dog the size of a Pop Tart, then no wonder he runs whenever humans are nearby.
“Yorkies are small in size but bigger than even a Sasquatch in heart,” Walters said — a statement we sincerely hope is embroidered on a throw pillow somewhere.
Sorry, Eric, but it looks like Mitch Hedberg could be right.
