New Jersey Cat Show This Weekend

The Central Jersey Cat Fanciers 7th annual cat show begins today.

More than 250 cats from across the country will compete for best in show at the 7th annual Central Jersey Cat Fanciers show this weekend, Jan. 4-6, at the Sheraton Hotel at Woodbridge Place in Iselin, N.J. Spectators will be able to see many breeds, including Bengals, Sphynx, Maine Coons, Siamese, Persians, Toygers and more.

The Central Jersey Cat Fanciers cat club will give away hundreds of door prizes throughout the weekend, courtesy of Hartz Pet Products. On Saturday and Sunday, cats will model the latest cat fashions in a Kitty Fashion Show. Vendors will offer gift items and cat products for purchase. In addition, Angel Paws, a local rescue group, will bring adoptable homeless cats to the show.

Show hours are 3 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m on Sunday. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and children ages 4 to 12, and free for children under 4.
