Mya and Puppies To Appear in Window Displays

The singer and other celebrities will appear in FAO Schwarz windows to promote dog adoption.

Singer Mya and other celebrities will pose with adoptable puppies in the windows of New York City’s FAO Schwarz toy store during a benefit for North Shore Animal League America on Saturday, April 26.

The annual event marks the culmination of the North Shore Animal League’s Tour For Life 2008, a month-long tour to promote animal adoption. Two of the League’s Mobile Adoption Units have been traveling two cross-country routes since April 2 to visit more than 100 shelters and rescue groups in 22 cities.

Mya became involved with North Shore Animal League after adopting dogs Rambo, Pepper, and Bear. “They give me such happiness,” says the singer, who is starring on Broadway in “Chicago.” “As spokesperson for such an incredible organization, it’s a great pleasure and honor for me to be part of an effort to save and improve people’s lives by saving and improving countless animals’ lives.”
