Mr. Peabody and Sherman are back. The time-traveling duo will find a home on Netflix starting October 9, when the 13-episode series begins airing. The DreamWorks Animation series will consist of half-hour episodes “based on the ’60s four-minute shorts from animation legend Jay Ward that first aired in his ‘Rocky & Bullwinkle Show,’” Variety reports.
The reinvented Netflix series, called “The New Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show” features the dog and kid as hosts of a late-night talk show. That they do from their fancy Manhattan apartment. In front of a live studio audience. (Strange, I know.) As odd as that sounds, the two use their WABAC (pronounced ‘way back’) machine to interview guests of times passed, such as Edgar Allan Poe, Mozart and Napoleon, according to Variety. We’re guessing Mr. Peabody and Sherman will have plenty of adventures themselves with their time machine too.
The series will be voiced by Chris Parnell as Mr. Peabody and Max Charles as Sherman. Charles also voiced Sherman in the 2014 movie.
Will you watch the series when it airs on Netflix in October?
