Miley Cyrus Mourns Loss of Dog

Singer Miley Cyrus takes to social media to share her devastation over the passing of her beloved Alaskan Klee Kai, Floyd.

While Miley Cyrus is no stranger to the social media world, her twitter account which typically focuses on her celebrity life, became significantly more relatable over the past 24 hours as she shared her feelings about the loss of her dog.

The 21-year-old pop singer, shared a tweet Tuesday, April 1, stating that it was “the second worst day” of her life. She soon shared a photo explaining that her Alaskan Klee Kai, Floyd had passed away while she was on her Bangerz tour.

The star’s tweets included a preemptive apology to her Boston fans that her upcoming show, may not be her best. The opening of her current tour features a larger than life version of Floyd that takes the stage for Cyrus’ entrance.


It is unclear why the puppy Cyrus brought home in 2011 died so suddenly, but what is clear is the singers sadness over the loss of her dear, four-legged friend.

Not her first time facing the loss of pet, in December 2012, Cyrus shared similar sentiments on Twitter when her Yorkie Lila died. The dog lover is still mom to Ziggy, Happy, Mary Jane and aunt to her sister’s Yorkie, Penny Lane.
