‘Marley & Me’ Contest Seeks Mischievous Dogs

Finalists will appear in commercial and grand prize winner will attend the film’s premiere.

Do you have a mischievous “Marley” at home?

If you recognize a little of your dog in the famous Labrador Retriever from John Grogan’s bestselling book “Marley & Me,” enter Purina Dog Chow’s Christmas Video Contest, which invites owners to enter original videos that capture the essence of their dog’s “Marley-esque” personality.

Finalist videos will appear during a “National Dog Show” commercial on Thanksgiving Day. The contest’s grand prize winner and his owner will attend the Hollywood premiere of “Marley & Me,” which stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.

David Frankel, the director of “Marley and Me,” which opens Dec. 25, will help select the winning video.

“‘Marley & Me’ is a film about life and love and the world’s best-and-worst dog, Marley, who teaches his family what matters most in life,” Frankel said in a statement. Submissions should feature “your dog doing something only your dog would do, something playful and charismatic, something rascally and truly unique,” he added.

The deadline to enter the contest is Oct. 31. For more information, visit Longliveyourdog.com
