Marine Biology and Aquarium Science Program at Central Campus High School

The program opened 26 years ago with a single 29 gallon aquarium.

The Central Campus High School in Des Moines, Iowa is getting students interested in marine and aquarium science. The program, started 26 years ago with a single 29 gallon aquarium, has since grown to include more than 100 tanks and a pair of 600 gallon systems, coral propagating troughs, a broodstock room, a water room and more to facilitate marine species breeding at the high school.
