The key to getting a dog to take his medicine is to make it seem like human food, because that's all dogs want anyway.

Pets don’t enjoy taking medicine. This is something all pet owners know too well.

But in a video uploaded to YouTube by Fellipe Vilaca Chibante, a Dachshund willingly, even excitedly, takes medication. How? Why, pure trickery, of course.

Chibante shows his dog’s medicine to the camera and then begins pretending like the medicine is a delicious human snack that the dog is absolutely not allowed to have. Brilliant, right?

And it works! The dog is so eager to get to that snack that when Chibante “accidentally drops it on the floor,” she races over and snags it before he can pick it up.

Oh the temptation of forbidden love.
