Sergi Basoli decided to quit his job and embark on a long kayak journey. It began in the summer of 2013 at the Olympic Harbor in Barcelona, Spain, Basoli writes on his website, Rumbo Mediterráneo. So far, his course has stuck close to the Mediterranean coast, covering 5,000 kilometers (about 3,107 miles) and spanning three years.
About a year into his journey, while in Alghero, Sardinia, Basoli happened upon “a furry little dog called Nirvana,” his website states. The dog joined Basoli on his journey, and they’ve been kayaking together ever since.
Basoli and Nirvana are now on a journey that is full of adventure.
