MACNA 2014 Announces Speaker Lineup

Aug. 29-31 is in Denver and all saltwater aquarium focused.

The 2014 MACNA conference in Denver, Colo., Aug. 29-31 announced its lineup of speakers for the annual saltwater aquarium enthusiasts event. The keynote speaker, Dr. Luis Rocha, will be followed by a whose who of the saltwater aquarium world, including Dr. Todd Lajeunesse, a researcher in the field of coral-algae symbiosis; Dr. Charles Mazel, lead researcher of NightSea, a company that creates fluorescence viewing and imaging technology; and Jamie Craggs, curator of Aquatics at the Horniman Museum and Zoo in London who this year successfully spawned Acropora valida at the zoo this year.

Other notable speakers this year include Luiz Rocha, Tea Yi Kai, Tony Vargas, Julian Sprung, Kevin Kohen, Jim Walters, Todd LaJeunesse, Mitch Carl, Vincent Chalias, Rufus Kimura, Sanjay Joshi, Nick Klase, Jake Adams, John Ciotti, Mike Paletta, Richard Ross, Martin Moe, Justin Credabel, Charles Mazel, Walt Smith, Meneeka Gurroby, Jamie Craggs, Ehsan Dashti, and Laura Birenbaum.
