Lassie and Bullseye Honored at Wax Museum

Visit the canine waxworks at Madame Tussauds in New York.

Lassie and Bullseye, a Bull Terrier featured in Target Corp.’s commercial campaigns, are certainly in good company: They stand alongside Beyoncé and Bono, Brad Pitt and Britney Spears.

But this is no glittering Hollywood movie premiere. Lassie and Bullseye are the first dogs to be depicted in wax at Madame Tussauds, the international museum that displays waxworks of famous actors, athletes, and politicians.

Lassie, a Rough Collie, was the first to earn the honor. Bullseye joined the famous canine heroine last month during a red-carpet unveiling of the Bull Terrier’s wax figure at the New York City museum. The real-life Lassie and Bullseye attended the ceremony.

Visitors to Madame Tussauds New York can take pictures with the famous dogs, which are housed in the main gallery. The figures have been scaled to the exact size of their canine doppelgangers.

Madame Tussauds New York is located in Times Square at 234 West 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. Visit to learn more.
