Kitten Rejected By The World For Being Too ‘Ugly’ Finds A Loving Home

People thought Romeo the kitten was too ugly to find a home. They were wrong.

Romeo was born with a deformity. His nose is much wider than other kittens’ noses. His eyes are a bit lopsided. The little orange tabby was passed over by many people. No one wanted Romeo because he was different.

Enter Santuario Compasión Animal.

Members of the animal sanctuary, based in Valencia, Spain, were on their way to deal with a rescue case when they came across little Romeo.

“They told us that no one wanted it because it was ugly,” the sanctuary posted on its Facebook page. “But for us Romeo is not ugly, it’s a lovely little kitten who likes to play like the rest of cats.”

They took Romeo home with them to the sanctuary. There, he is cared for and given all the love every kitten deserves.

Romeo, bienvenido a tu nuevo hogar.

Ayúdanos a salvar más vidas. Los animales te necesitan. No podemos fallarles.

  • What beautiful guy !! I found that most humans
Prefer everything to be perfect no flaws , I prefer animal companionship over humans any day … Animals don’t hurt you , betray you , love you with or without flaws, they love you for you , I think humans could learn lots from animals for the animals are just as much human as we are ….❤️❤️❤️

  • Romeo is one handsome boy! And he’s such a sweet, beautiful kitty! To all: God bless you and yours and all the kitties everywhere, the noblest and most precious of all the Lord Jesus’ Creation. Please pray for all kitties, for safety and protection, love and health, and a very, very, very long and happy life. And please pray for worldwide revival. In Christ’s love, Allen.

Allen Vergakis November 16, 2016 1:45 am Reply
    • I agree with you, Allen. God teaches us love and acceptance of all people and animals, regardless of how, or what, they look like. This precious little kitty would be welcome in my home and life just as any homeless pet has been welcomed by me in the past. My animals seem to find me and I never care what they look, or act, like because when they reach my back porch, they declare it home. That is what God’s love is all about. Caring and loving those whom others deem unlovable.

  • We adopted an older cat who was born with one eye. She was the sweetest, most loving and gentle cat we’ve ever had and we miss her terribly- all these years later! Never overlook a less-than-perfect animal. Beauty is only skin deep! Love the picture of Romeo on his savior’s shoulder- it looks like they’re reading the brochure together!

  • Romeo, O Romeo, it’s bad enough that people said such cruel things about you. Be glad you aren’t human. I was born with a defect and the effects of it resulted in people being cruel and judgemental to me. I would love to have you as I know firsthand the love you would give to someone that accepts you and loves you the way you are. Beautiful in my eyes!

Lori Goodloe November 16, 2016 3:38 am Reply
    • Lori, I am so sorry that some people would do this to you….the defect is within them not you. True beauty comes from within and you are beautiful! Some people are foolish and immature and it shows in the way they treat other people. Just realize there is nothing wrong with you. (((()))) ❤

Now, I want to thank everyone who helped save this poor baby because with out your help he would not have made it in this world that if you are unusual or not up to special specifications and requirements you are not worthy but this story shows that it is not true. Romeo you are worthy, precious and are much loved.

Best Wishes to Romeo and his new family at the sanctuary.

  • Sweet little one! We adopted an orange tabby with squinty eye and his mother. They were both in a shelter and he was the only kitten of the litter left, of course, because he was different no one wanted him or his mother. I saw them on Facebook and have always wanted an orange tabby so took both 🙂 They now live loved and happy with 3 siblings. A black kitty brother, a black Chow mix sister and a red Chow brother – all adoptees except the black kitty who was a Christmas gift.

Wow humans so l had half dozens of my own rescue feral so l had asked a lady that was connected to my vets clinic she wanted a cat for her mom but then she changed her mind for he wasn’t a whole cat for he didn’t have a tail! I have a cat now who lost half of his tail due to a cancerous lump maybe l should have him put down for he isn’t cute any more. Or he is not a whole cat. Doesn’t matter what part of the world u are in human race just blows me away. Thank God for the few of us that do get it. Romero l must say you both look like romeros to me. Norhing to me then a guy luving a cat wow beautiful. I am also a dog person but cats are so majestic.

People need to show more compassion for animals that have defects or who may have loss a leg or who may be blind or deaf. They need loved to. And they will return that loved back to you more then you know. Best of luck Romeo my prayers are for you to find a loving forever home.
