Isaac Mizrahi, the flamboyant couturier to stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and successful mass-market designer for Target, know how to make a splash on the red carpet.
But this time it was Mizrahi’s dog, Harry, whose antics garnered a mention in the famed “Page Six” gossip column of the New York Post.
Richard Johnson reports that the designer was walking the red carpet with Harry at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ball at the Mandarin Hotel in New York City when the dog “went nuts.”
Harry reportedly snapped at Mizrahi’s chest and hands “while onlookers laughed.”
Johnson called the incident “karma” for Mizrahi, who famously flustered actress Scarlett Johansson by playing with the top of her dress during an interview on the red carpet at the 2005 Golden Globes.
Mizrahi, the subject of “Unzipped,” a 1995 documentary about the fashion industry, also designs dog products for Target, including raincoats, dog beds, and ball gowns.
