At the Parrots International Symposium, held June 21 to 22 in Long Beach, California, Carl Jones gave a talk entitled, “Echos in the Forest: The Rescue of a Critically  Endangered Species, the echo parakeet Psittacula eques and its long-term conservation management.” Carl Jones is a conservation biologist that has worked on the echo parakeet’s island home of Mauritius since 1979. BirdChannel sat down with Jones to learn more about him and his work.
