A show dog is a show dog 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Just as you wouldn’t run a marathon after a winter of inactivity, show dogs aren’t lifted off the couch where they have lounged for months and dropped into the show ring.
Show dogs must be kept in exceptional condition day in and day out if they are to compete successfully. They must be fed the best food, be groomed regularly and kept in top physical condition.

What to feed a show dog is an endless topic of discussion. With so many types of food to choose from, a beginner can get dizzy just thinking about them. You need a food that will keep your dog looking and feeling its absolute best, so it can compete against dogs that are fed equally well. The price of the food should not really be a consideration – inferior food is less likely to help you and your dog achieve your goals.
