How do you take your pet snake for a swim? If you’re an Aussie, with a bottle of beer! At least that is how a man swam with his snake last weekend at Tallebudgera Creek near the Gold Coast of Australia.
The man apparently walked into the water with the snake around his neck and a bottle of Victoria Bitter beer in his hand and started tossing the snake around in the water, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.
Video of the interaction between the man and his snake was recorded by Indy Davies, a musician from the city of Brisbane in Australia, and he was astounded by what he saw.
“This dude came out of nowhere with a tallie of VB and a snake around his neck,” Davies told the Bulletin.
“Then he just threw it into the water and it swam back to him and then they just seemed to be playing,” Davies continued. “He had a good swim around — it was pretty rock ‘n’ roll.”
The video shows the man toss the snake, which would then swim back toward the man, who would then toss the snake again. It ends with the man kissing the snake all the while holding his beer away from the water.
“He came up to us, he was pretty social, he said hello to us and said check out my snake. I forget what his name was though,” Davies said.
Davies was tripping out that the snake kept coming back after the guy tossed it in front of him.
“I really hope he doesn’t get pulled up for animal cruelty — I’ve never seen him swim back to him like that,” he said. “It was incredible — the snake kept coming back to him, like, all day.”
