Hilton Launches Cat, Dog Hospitality Program

Participating hotels will offer beds, food bowls, clean-up bags, and treats to canine guests.

Hilton Hotels and Resorts plans to start welcoming dogs and cats into hotels by summer. The new Pet Friendly program is being rolled out in the United States first, and will be introduced to various international hotels at a later date.

The Hilton Pet Friendly collection, designed by artist William Wegman, will include a stain-, water- and microbial-resistant pet bed, food and water bowls with a placemat and a pet-amenity kit that includes dog waste clean-up bags and treats.

Pet beds will be available for purchase at www.hiltontohome.com.

Participating Hiltons will also offer pet concierge services with information about local dog runs, veterinarian offices and pet boutiques.

Each participating hotel will reserve a select number of pet-friendly rooms. Along with the standard room cleaning procedures, the rooms will undergo a deep cleaning — including carpets, drapery, and all upholstered furniture — after each pet guest has checked out. Rooms will also feature a special door hanger to alert hotel staff that a pet may be inside.
