AAA says that pet-friendly hotels have grown 28 percent since 1999 — to more than 13,000 hotels nationwide.
When patrons check in at the Four Seasons Atlanta, for example, they are given a newsletter that lists nearby parks to take dogs, plus phone numbers for services like doggie daycare, grooming, even room service — just for dogs.
Chicken, filet mignon, a $120 caviar spread, and salmon are among the dishes prepared at the Atlanta Four Seasons. But when the executive pastry chef isn’t designing perfect wedding cakes, he is baking fresh doggie snacks made with ingredients like peanut butter, oats, and eggs.
But Atlanta isn’t the only city with hotels and amenities that aim to spoil pets. According to AAA, the top 10 cities for traveling with pets are:
- San Antonio
- New York
