Five Minutes With Dr. Lee Anthony Reasin

How much do we know about Dr. Lee Anthony Reasin? Dogs in Review asked some of them a few questions.

Approved for all breeds.

How did you first become involved in dogs? What breeds have you been involved with and in what capacity – breeder, owner, handler?

I was born into dogs with family members who raised Gordon and English Setters, Cockers and Beagles. My first AKC litter was Miniature Pinschers, followed by Shetland Sheepdogs and Skye Terriers. I showed my own dogs, finishing 10 Shelties, 13 Skyes and two Min Pins.

Who has been your mentor or mentors?

My mentors are mostly dead now, but I ring stewarded in California for 25 years and had the advantage of stewarding for all the “greats” of those days.

What is, or was, your profession?

I worked in the title insurance industry in California.

Do you have any hobbies or special interests other than judging?

Other than judging I have a deep interest in opera and collect signed first-edition mystery books.

Do you have any pet peeves when judging?

My pet peeve at the moment is the manner of dress mostly with women judges. When on earth did blue jeans and T-shirts become suitable dress for our newer women judges?
