A mom felt down after the candidate she supported, Hillary Clinton, lost the presidential election November 8, so she went on a walk in the woods with her baby to clear her mind. So did another person who might have felt down about the election — Hillary Clinton, who went on a walk with her dog.

Margot Gerster posted a photo to Facebook yesterday of herself and former Secretary of State Clinton as they met on a walk in Chappaqua, New York, NBC News reports. Gerster has since made the post private but the news outlet shared some of the mother’s thoughts that she put up on social media.

“I’ve been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking,” Gerster wrote in a post on Facebook with a photo of herself and the former first lady.

“She looked wonderful. She was taking a nice peaceful hike with her dogs,” Gerster told NBC News. Bill Clinton was with the democratic nominee and took a picture of the women.

According to the news outlet, Gerster’s Facebook post said she told Hillary Clinton “that one of my most proudest moments as a mother” was taking her daughter with her to the voting booth as she cast a vote for her.

“She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk,” Gerster told NBC News.

What else can you do when things don’t go your way? You get back to basics, give your dog a pat and click on the leash. Then you keep moving forward.
