Max, a blue-and-gold macaw, and Chuck Blazer. (Chuck Blazer)
You might have heard of Chuck Blazer, a FIFA executive who is star witness in a case against top FIFA (F?ration Internationale de Football Association) executives. He kept an apartment for his cats and, according to the New York Times, was known for driving around with a parrot on his shoulder. According to several sources, including SBNation.com, one of the parrots would even make fun of him:
“At some point in Blazer’s past an ex-wife had departed, taking the parrot with her. By the time she returned it a year later, she had trained it to spout abuse. Blazer kept the bird in a gilded cage in his sumptuous Manhattan penthouse office, and complained that his business meetings were often interrupted by the bird squawking: ‘You’re a dope.'”
It’s hard to say how many parrots Blazer has. In Blazer’s blog, he talks about his parrot named Max, who is a blue-and-gold macaw, while the BBC reports, “his pet parrots, which [Blazer] kept in a glass aviary in his office in the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, were called Venus and Apollo.”
Venus and Apollo look to be Eclectus parrots. In his blog, Blazer talks about how he’s going to be a grandfather, and shows a picture of a parrot nest with a female Eclectus named Venus.

Say what you will about FIFA and Chuck Blazer … But Max looks like a very healthy and happy blue-and-gold macaw! Now, if only he had a harness on…
