Feral Cat Housing by Designers

A benefit for FixNation showed dream homes for outdoor cats by Architects for Animals, who donated the shelters after the show.

Innovative loungers where cats could curl up rested beside Eames loungers last night at the Herman Miller showroom in Los Angeles. Architects for Animals hosted a benefit for FixNation, the Southern California organization that coordinates free spay and neuter for cats.

“Giving Shelter” showcased the designs of 14 architects with creative ideas for feral cat housing, using simple materials on structures that could sustain the elements, protect cats from predators or offer a unique design. Hundreds of cat fans came to the event and people were invited to vote for their favorite.
