A couple of months ago, Subaru released a heartstring-yanking commercial that showed a loving owner helping his 14-year-old dog check several items off of his bucket list, including chewing a shoe, swimming in a pool marked “No Dogs Allowed” and getting to reconnect with an old girlfriend. A Blue Heeler is currently getting the same kind of treatment, after being diagnosed with Lymphoma.

The 6-year-old dog, who lives in Australia, reportedly has only between four and six weeks to live, so his owner, Emily, is trying to ensure that his final days will be glorious ones.

On a Facebook page called Buddy’s Bucket List, Emily is keeping track of everything that Buddy has done (running on the beach, getting pampered at a dog spa, having a cooked steak dinner) and everything that he hopes to accomplish before his time runs out.

Some of the things that Emily and Buddy still hope to share are riding in a convertible with the top down, playing in a ball pit “like the ones from McDonalds,” and eating a full string of sausages. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for his adventures.

“For me, Buddy is my fur child,” Emily told Mashable. “We went to the specialist, and they put him through all the tests to see what kind of cancer it was. But unfortunately, his body was completely littered with it.”

Hopefully, Buddy’s last days will be filled with beautiful memories, for him and for the people who love him.
