Drama Reward

Drama reward is the response some people make in reaction to something a pet bird does that the peole does not like.

The loudly histrionic response some people make in reaction to something a parrot does that the people does not like. A “drama reward” can greatly increase the probability of that behavior reoccurring, as many parrots appear to find such theatrics intensely exciting. For instance, yelling at a parrot for yelling generally only teaches the pet bird to yell more.

Generally caused by the owner losing his/her temper.

The person should do his/her best to avoid high levels of excitement when responding to something negative that a parrot has done.
